Tefillah U'Minhag (Ritual) Committee

The Tefillah U' Minhag committee is charged with overseeing the theory and practice of all matters relating to the ritual affairs of the synagogue. These involve the religious observances of Shabbat, of other holidays and festivals, and of any questions that are affected by religious practices at TBI.

The Committee works closely with the Rabbi, and is in close communication with the Talmud Torah Committee, as religious practices affect the Religious School curriculum and the participation of B'nai Mitzvah students in Shabbat services.

Currently the Committee is developing recommendations to enhance community involvement in our Shabbat services, focusing on the development of increased lay participation in Friday and Saturday services, as well as in the services commemorating all the holidays and festivals.

We would appreciate knowing your thoughts about any issues relating to the conduct of religious services at TBI. On a regular basis we will be posting information on which we'd appreciate congregational response.
